As the Fall Semester kicks off on campuses across the U.S., The Mahoney Family Foundation is wrapping up its first fiscal year.
Due to the generosity of our Donors, The Foundation awarded $79,917.37 in scholarships to Teachers and Nurses attending 14 different colleges stretching from Nevada to New Hampshire.
Our first year saw Grants go to 29 Teachers and 7 Nurses pursuing advanced degrees for an average award of $2,219.93.
Teachers attending Arkansas State University led our Educators with 12 scholarships. Nurses studying at the University of Nevada Las Vegas were our top awardees in the Medical Sciences with 4 grants.
The Foundation was able to make a significant impact in its geographical base with $48,836.00 being awarded to Teachers in Northwest Arkansas.
Arkansas, Nevada, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, and Missouri led the way when listing overall grant dollars awarded.
As we look forward to fiscal 2019, we are excited about the lives we are able to touch and in turn, the lives touched by our scholarship winners.

The Mahoney Family Foundation awarded our first 7 scholarships. We are blessed to have so many dedicated teachers in Northwest Arkansas who are helping our children by continuing their own education. Each of our recipients will complete their Masters Degree this year.
